Global bosses

World bosses are spawned and tracked by the global cooldown service. Their availability is shared across all players.

Mini bosses

Dungeon-style arena bosses are entered through their existing room access. The timer represents the player's next eligible entry rather than a world spawn.

Underground bosses

Certain underground groups share positions and rotate availability. Their timers are staggered so creatures assigned to the same arena do not all appear together.

Quest bosses

Quest encounters follow quest room state, time limits, occupancy, death cleanup, and reward rules. They are excluded from the normal global boss timer.

Mechanics and safety

Mechanics activate only while an encounter has a valid combat target. Damage, forced movement, and effects cannot affect players in protection zones.
